Pan Animalia Galapagos Foundation
Pan Animalia Galapagos Foundation
We are proud to support the animal welfare work of Pan Animalia Galapagos Foundation in our local community.
Our founder Brett Peters helped establish the project in 2019 and served as a Non Executive Director on the their board and as their legal representative on the Galápagos Islands from April 2021 to March 2026.
The foundation launched the Galapagos Animal Doctors (GAD) project in 2020 and opened its veterinary clinic in Puerto Ayora in 2022. Through community engagement and partnerships with local authorities, the initiative promotes responsible pet ownership while addressing the growing impact of domestic animals on wildlife.
The programme focuses on five key areas:
- Sterilisation – helping control domestic animal populations and reduce pressure on natural habitats.
- Veterinary Healthcare – providing accessible, professional treatment for pets in the local community.
- Vaccination – reducing disease risks and preventing transmission to wildlife.
- Education – promoting responsible animal care and population management.
- Conservation – supporting the protection of the unique biodiversity of the Galápagos Islands.
