7 day Ecuador Birdwatching - Andes West Slope - 2026

‘Immerse yourself in nature set around the stunning West slope area of the Andes and view some amazing choco endemic and native birds that live in this region.’

Visit the Andean cloud forest around Bellavista, Mindo and Mashpi and see a dazzling array of colorful hummingbirds, quetzals, the elusive Andean Cock-of-the-Rock, shy Antpittas and Antthrushes and the secretive Black-backed Quail.

Other birds we are likely to see include a host of multi-coloured tanagers, manakins, woodpeckers, toucans, trogons and warblers.

We could also see Rose-faced Parrot, Toucan Barbet, Orange-breasted Fruiteater, Choco Vireo and the extraordinary Long-wattled Umbrellabird.
